info@cootefinlay.com Finlay Block Making Equipment was started back in the early 1950s, by the late John Finlay. John originally began his business as general engineering for the concrete industry.
In those early years, most of his engineering designs were focused on his own needs within the concrete business. From this most humble of beginnings, he built up a very strong engineering group of Finlay companies, which included mobile screening, mobile block machinery and forklift trucks.
Up to his untimely death in 1986, the Finlay companies were renowned around the world for quality engineering and excellent after sales support. John Finlay was synonymous within the concrete industry in Ireland and was considered an equal with Harry Ferguson, another Northern Ireland engineering genius.
The Finlay block making equipment business was acquired by Coote Engineering in 2016 and now operates under the Coote Finlay brand. Our team of design engineers are dedicated to continuous advancement and system efficiency to meet the ever present demands of the industry for more cost effective block production.
